Witness interview

Witness interviewed: 1 (N°489) Maria I. (N°489): "I saw columns of Jews passing through the village. Policemen led them and they were beating these poor people. Just thinking about it makes my heart shudder. They were human beings, children like ours. They took them to Bogdanivka, to very long barns, pigsties. This is where they put them -- beat and suffocated them. They then put them on the edge of a ravine, I saw it myself, they shot them and they fell, fell and fell... Then, they burned them and the smoke came towards our home."
