Witnesses interviewed: 2. (N°451, 452). Nina Stepanivna R. (N°451): "The Jews were transported to the execution site, one truck after the other. The vehicles were open and full. The Jews were standing, carrying their children on their arms. They greeted everybody, making signs with their hands, many of them were crying. Some Jews told us: "They begin with us, and they’ll finish with you.’ One woman managed to escape, now she lives in the USA."
RG-22.002M/7021-55/2: "In the first days of September, I don’t remember when exactly, the Gestapo came in Horokhiv from Lutsk and, without saying a word, started to stop the men of Jewish origin everywhere on the streets of the city. In all, 350 people were gathered in a park[…]. Everybody had to undress and then, in groups of ten or twenty they came closer to the pit. They were shot one-by-one in the nape of the neck at the edge of the pit."
