Sergey P. recalls: “Closed metal trucks arrived and stopped next to these big graves. The doors were opened, blue smog came out of the truck. There were a lot of dead, naked corpses inside. The Germans wore green uniforms. There were some local policemen and some foreign policemen. They wore a white armband." (Eyewitness N°613, interviewed in Polykovichi, on April 30, 2012)
In the village of Polykovichi, Mogilev region, German monsters burned and buried alive massively the Soviet citizens. Here is what a witness says: in the spring of 1943, I was ordered by Germans to dig a pit. As it was ready, two trucks full of children aged from 3 to 12 arrived. The Germans threw them alive in the pit, shot them dead and covered the pit, although around sixty children were buried alive.” [Report of the Soviet extraordinary commission, drawn up in 1944; RG22.022M/7021-88/50]
