Entrevista del testigo

Wladyslaw L., nacido en 1922 recuerda: «Yo los vi a una distancia de 1 kilómetro. Yo estaba en la orilla del bosque, había algunos de nosotros viendo. Los camiones venían uno tras otro. Empujaban a los judíos a la fosa y entonces les disparaban. Incluso cuando la fosa ya estaba cubierta el suelo aún se movía. Muy al final, los alemanes vertieron un líquido sobre la fosa y la fosa se derrumbó. Pero nosotros no podíamos acercarnos más, los alemanes no dejaban pasar a nadie.» (Testigo no. 309, entrevistado en Maly Plock, el 10 de mayo de 2014).

Nota histórica

Maly Plock es una aldea en el condado de Kolo, en el noreste de Polonia, en el Voivodeship de Podlaskie. En 1921, el 8,2 % de toda la población del condado de Kolo era judía. Habían cerca de 10 familias judías en Maly Plock antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Eran en su mayoría mercaderes.

Holocausto por balas en cifras

Cuando la guerra empezó, todos los judíos de Maly Plock, y los de las aldeas y pueblos cercanos como Stawiski, Kolno, Lomza etc. fueron reunidos en un edificio de escuela en Katy. Poco después, fueron llevados en camiones a Msciwuje, donde fueron fusilados y enterrados en una larga trinchera antitanques. El fusilamiento masivo de judíos del condado de Kolo duró varios días. De acuerdo con los archivos, más de 4,000 judíos fueron fusilados en Msciwuje.
