Antoni J, 32P: ““In the village, during the occupation, there were six to eight permanent German gendarmes. They had the assistance of a Polish cook. The soltys often came to receive orders. When the Germans arrived, they chose a new soltys. Among the gendarmerie was one member who was very cruel.”
